Biography

Broadside, formed in 2010 in Richmond, Virginia, began as a punk‑pop collective that evolved into a lineup with Oliver Baxxter on vocals from 2013 onward. The group attracted attention with the EP Far from Home in 2011, followed by the re‑recorded album Far from Home in 2012 through Ice Grill$ Records. Signing with Victory Records in 2015 launched the single "Storyteller" and the album Old Bones, which charted on the Billboard Heatseekers. Subsequent releases-Paradise (2017), Into the Raging Sea (2020), and Hotel Bleu (2023)-saw collaborations with Brian Butcher and touring alongside The Ataris and Polar Bear Club. The band’s output and touring schedule secured its place among alternative press’s “100 Artists You Need To Know” in 2015. The band followed up with new guitarist Tay Ewart and recorded their sixth album, Nowhere, at Last, released in April 2026.
