Bree Sharp, born December 17, 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She learned to play guitar by age 15 and moved to New York City at 17 to study theater at New York University. In July 1999, Bree Sharp released her debut album A Cheap and Evil Girl, which included the cult single "David Duchovny". This song gained significant attention with a viral video produced by Will Shivers and Charles Forsch featuring celebrities like Brad Pitt and George Clooney. She toured extensively in her career, including performances at the Lilith Fair. Her second album More B.S. was released in August 2002 under her own label Ahimsa Records. In 2009, Bree Sharp founded the electropop band Beautiful Small Machines with Don DiLego, releasing the EP Robots in Love that year and the album The DJ Stayed Home in 2014.
