Biography

Boy Hits Car (formed 1993, in Los Angeles) is an American alternative rock ensemble. Founded by vocalist Cregg Rondell, the group established a style described as 'passionately heavy music' with Middle Eastern influences. The recording career began with the independent album My Animal (1998), followed by a performance on the Sno-Core Tour. The ensemble signed to Wind-up Records for the self-titled album Boy Hits Car (2001). The discography featured the song "LoveFuryPassionEnergy" (2002), which served as a theme for WWE. Subsequent studio recordings included The Passage (2005), Stealing Fire (2011), and All That Led Us Here (2014). The group released the live recording Worldwide Alive (2020) and singles including "Injustice Fatigue" (2022) and "Mind Elevation" (2025). The studio album Waves of Sound Across Oceans of Time was scheduled for release on 16 January 2026. In May 2025, a performance at the Whisky A Go Go was cancelled after a vehicle collided with the venue.
