Biography
Boran (ë³´ë), born Yang Hyejin (ìíì§) and formerly known by the stage name Yang Song-i (ìì¡ì´), is a South Korean R&B and soul solo artist who first debuted at the age of 19 in 2014 under Sony Music Entertainment Korea with the digital single âParadise,â featured in the television program We Got Married â Global Edition Season 2. Early in her career, she also appeared on Hidden Singer (Yoon Min-soo episode) and performed the track âGoodbye with a Smile,â written by composer UK (Kim Sung-wook). After a three-year hiatus and the end of her exclusive contract with her former agency, she relaunched her career under the name Boran, emphasizing a more personal musical direction. She regained attention with the 2018 single âSandwich and a Sodaâ and continued developing her sound through releases such as âaccidentâ (2024), ârainâ (2024), âImperfectionâ (2024), and âObsessedâ (2025), followed by her EP Delulu (2026).
