Koo Hye-sun, born Gu Hye-seon on November 9, 1984, in South Korea, is a singer-songwriter known for her work in the K-pop and new age genres. She began her career as an ulzzang (Internet celebrity) before transitioning into the entertainment industry. Initially a trainee under SM Entertainment, she later moved to DSP Media and YG Entertainment, where she was advised by CEO Yang Hyun-suk to pursue acting over music. Koo Hye-sun released her first album Breath in 2009, which included new age music and her composed song "Around the Alley" for singer Gummy. She followed this with digital singles such as "ê°ì머리" (2010) and "Marry Me" (2012). Her second album Breath 2 was released in 2015, featuring the title track "After 10 Years 100 Years", a remake of the OST from the film The Peach Tree. Koo Hye-sun has also collaborated with other artists, such as The Blind on the song "ì´ë¤ ì§ì ë¤" (2016).
