The young pop singer Bishara Morad originally had no intention of looking for a career in the music business, but when one of his teachers uploaded a video on YouTube in 2018 depicting the 16-year-old singing in the school cafeteria it became a life-changing opportunity for the Swedish teenager.
The video came to the attention of ex-Motown singer and pop impresario Laila Bagge. Bagge is an influential figure within the Swedish music business having been involved in various reality TV talent shows in recent years. Her patronage helped kick-start Morad's career and in 2019 he released his debut single 'Home' which was quickly followed up by 'On My Own' which went to number four in the Swedish charts.
As well as being a talented singer, Morad, who is of Syrian extraction, is also a devout Christian and is actively involved in his local church group. His clean-living lifestyle has endeared him to the parents of his rapidly increasing fan base and he is seen as a positive role model for their children.
