Biography
Born in Hénin-Beaumont, Pas-de-Calais, on December 28, 1953, Bernard Wantier alias Bernard Minet began his career in the 1970s as a drummer for stars such as Charles Aznavour and Thierry Le Luron. In 1987, having become the drummer and singer of the group Les Musclés, he won the hearts of young audiences with his performance of the theme tune for the TV series Bioman, on the hit show Club Dorothée. Performing other cartoon theme songs for AB Productions, he collaborated with Richard Clayderman and composed several tracks for the instrumental compilation Synthétiseur 5 - Les Plus Grands Thèmes Classiques (1990). The end of Club Dorothée in 1997 led the musician to return to the stage, where he sang the theme songs for which he was known, until Les Musclés reformed in 2007. After his autobiography Ma vie de folie (2015) and the release of a triple compilation in 2018, Bernard Minet makes a surprising comeback with his songs and others in heavy metal versions. Accompanied by the Metal Band, he records the album of the same name and goes on tour.
