Beatfreakz, a Dutch house music band, was formed in 2000 in Amsterdam. The group consists of Dennis Christopher, Dimitrie Siliakus, and Mark Simmons. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Somebody's Watching Me", which prominently featured a sample from Rockwell's hit of the same name. Instead of using the original vocals, Beatfreakz utilized the voice of Dutch singer Dennis Delano. The song peaked at number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in May 2006 and reached number 21 in the Dutch Top 100. It also charted in Belgium, Australia, and Germany. The accompanying music video was a parody of Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Following this success, Beatfreakz released their follow-up track "Superfreak", a Rick James remix, on October 16, 2006. They hinted at an upcoming project, a remix of the Ghostbusters theme tune by Ray Parker Jr., which was previewed in Ibiza. By November 2006, Dimitrie Siliakus had left the group. Beatfreakz also contributed to the Put Your Hands Up! 2 compilation with a remake of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way". In 2007, under the alias Rockefeller, they were credited in a remix of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" as Alibi vs. Rockefeller, which featured a music video with three female dancers dressed as nurses. The group has not released music under the Beatfreakz name since 2008, though the former members continued to collaborate in the following years.
