Iga Massardi, born in 2012 in Indonesia, is the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Indonesian indie rock group Barasuara, formed in 2012 with members Asteriska, Puti Chitara, TJ Kusuma, Gerald Situmorang, and Marco Steffiano. After initial solo attempts, Massardi gathered the lineup and debuted live at TokoVe café in South Jakarta on 8 June 2014, followed by the release of their debut studio album Taifun on 16 October 2015, featuring singles such as "Bahas Bahasa" and "Sendu Melagu". The band embarked on the Taifun Tour in May 2016 across Java, earning a nomination for Best Alternative Production Work at the 2016 AMI Awards and a Best Live Act honor from Rolling Stone Indonesia Editors Choice Awards. In 2018 Barasuara signed with Darlin Records and released the single "Guna Manusia" ahead of their sophomore album Pikiran dan Perjalanan on 8 March 2019, followed by a remix EP PQ-Race dan Perjalanan on 6 December 2019. The group continued with the 2022 single "Fatalis", winning Best Rock Duo/Group/Collaboration at the 2023 AMI Awards, and the 2023 single "Merayakan Fana" featuring Erwin Gutawa and the Czech Symphony Orchestra. Barasuara released their third studio album Jalaran Sadrah on 21 June 2024, solidifying their presence in the Indonesian alternative rock scene.
