Banda Reyes de Cajititlán, led by the iconic Cosme Tadeo, "El Romántico Incurable" ("The Hopeless Romantic") emerged as a continuation of his rich musical legacy after his departure from Pequeños Musical, a band he originally founded. Cosme Tadeoâs journey began in 1980 with his fascination for technobanda, inspiring him to master the trumpet and launch his career. In 1990, he debuted with hits like "El Brinquito" and "La Cuca," which marked the start of a prolific trajectory with unforgettable songs like "Romántico Incurable," "Cobarde," and "El Retrato de Mamá." After parting ways with Pequeños Musical to pursue a more authentic vision, Cosmeo Tadeo formed Banda Reyes de Cajititlán, releasing two albums under Balboa Records. Tracks like "No Te Valoré," "Llorando a Mares," and "Punto Final," which featured a scenic video filmed at Laguna de Cajititlán, garnered significant radio play in Mexico and the U.S. Despite setbacks, Cosmeo Tadeoâs commitment to his fans remained unwavering as he reassembled a talented ensemble, collaborating with arranger Horacio Ortiz to refine his signature style. Some of his most acclaimed studio releases include 2005's No Te Valoré and 2007's Te Amaré, Te Lloraré, both of which paired traditional banda sounds with cumbia and other Regional Mexican genres. In 2023, Cosme Tadeo featured on Eden Muñoz's album Como en los Viejos Tiempos, lending his voice to the track "La Nena."
