Biography
Boye was a Serbian and Yugoslav rock ensemble from Novi Sad established in 1981. The group consisted of the musicians Biljana BabiÄ, Jelena Kajtez, Ilija VlaisavljeviÄ, and Robert TelÄer. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by new wave and garage rock. The ensemble was founded by BabiÄ, Jasna Manjulov, Ljiljana RadakoviÄ, and Klaudija GavriloviÄ. Their recording career began with the song "Ja hoÄu te / Kralj dosade" (1987) released through the label PGP RTB. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Dosta! Dosta! Dosta! (1988) which was ranked number 71 on the list of 100 Greatest Yugoslav Albums by the magazine Rolling Stone. Their discography included the studio recording 78 (1990) and the studio recording Boye se ne boje (1993) which received an award for best release from the magazine Ritam. Boye achieved professional recognition for performing at the Ne raÄunajte na nas anti-war concert in Belgrade in 1992. Their recording career included the studio recording Prevariti naviku (1997) which was ranked number 95 on the list of 100 Best Serbian Albums Since the Breakup of SFR Yugoslavia. The group became inactive in 2000.
