Biography
AronChupa is the stage of Aron Ekberg, a Swedish fourth division goalkeeper who currently plays for the club Byttorps IF. In 2012 he and four of his fellow players at Byttorps - MÃ¥ns Harvidsson, Andreas Reinholdsson, Nicklas Savvolainen and Rasmus Sahlberg - formed the electro house hip-hop band Albatroz and signed a deal with Sony and their self-titled debut single reached number 36 in the Swedish Singles Chart.
The following year Ekberg decided to release a solo single and recorded the track 'I'm an Albatraoz' with his sister Nora performing vocals. The single became a surprise hit and was certified platinum in Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Denmark. Subsequent releases by Ekberg have failed to make much of an impression on the international singles listings, most of them failing to chart with the exception of his 2018 effort 'Rave in the Grave' which reached number 21 in the Polish Chart and scraped into the Swedish Chart at 93.
