Arlene Yacaira Mota, known professionally as Arlene MC, was born on May 11, 2000, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Dominican parents and began performing at age nine, training in dance, hip-hop, tap, and breakdancing. She made her musical debut in December 2017 with the single âYa Me Canse,â which quickly gained attention for its blend of urban pop and playful energy. Her follow-up track âA Vecesâ (2018) continued to build her online following, and by 2020, her collaboration with Martin Lora on the track âDolceâ further solidified her position in the Latin music scene. In the following years, Arlene MC explored a diverse sound palette with tracks like 2025's âRecoqueo,â the Dembow-inspired âEâte Coco,â and the energetic âMamazota,â combining infectious rhythms and a strong visual identity. In 2025, she continued her streak with a wave of vibrant singlesââRecoqueo (Remix),â âBUMPER,â âBumper (Live),â âFoky,â and âPerritaââand released a live session showcasing her performance skills across several of her hits.
