Biography

Arlene Yacaira Mota, known professionally as Arlene MC, was born on May 11, 2000, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Dominican parents and began performing at age nine, training in dance, hip-hop, tap, and breakdancing. She made her musical debut in December 2017 with the single “Ya Me Canse,” which quickly gained attention for its blend of urban pop and playful energy. Her follow-up track “A Veces” (2018) continued to build her online following, and by 2020, her collaboration with Martin Lora on the track “Dolce” further solidified her position in the Latin music scene. In the following years, Arlene MC explored a diverse sound palette with tracks like 2025's “Recoqueo,” the Dembow-inspired “E’te Coco,” and the energetic “Mamazota,” combining infectious rhythms and a strong visual identity. In 2025, she continued her streak with a wave of vibrant singles—“Recoqueo (Remix),” “BUMPER,” “Bumper (Live),” “Foky,” and “Perrita”—and released a live session showcasing her performance skills across several of her hits.
