Jose Ariel Jimenez Rivera, born Septemberâ¯1,â¯1966, in Manila, Philippines, is a Filipino pop singer, songwriter, and actor. After studying architecture and psychology in Canada, his talent was discovered by Vehnee Saturno during a holiday in the Philippines, after which he signed with Musiko Records & BMG Records (now Sony Music Philippines) in 1989. His self-titled debut album in 1991 produced the Numberâ¯1 single "Sana Kahit Minsan," and the album went 3à platinum. Rivera followed with Simple Lang (1993), which also went 3x platinum, and Photograph (1995), which reached Gold status. He released In My Life (2003) and Once Again (2008). He also starred in Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal (1992), winning Best Supporting Actor at the 1992 Metro Manila Film Festival.
