Anurag Saikia, born in December 1988, is an Indian composer, music director, and producer from Assam. He gained recognition as one of the youngest recipients of the Rajat Kamal award for Best Non-Feature Film Music Direction for Yugadrashta. Coming from a musical and academic background, his mother, Dipali Saikia, is an All India Radio artist and teacher, while his father, Dr. Anil Saikia, has contributed significantly to Assamese folk culture and was honored with the Pratima Barua Pandey Memorial Award in 2011. After graduating from Cotton College, Saikia pursued further studies at the Swarnabhumi Academy of Music in Chennai. He has composed music for films like Thappad (2020) and collaborated with artists such as Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh. Additionally, he is noted for incorporating Borgeets into symphonic orchestration.
