Biography

Anna Känzig, born Anna Kaenzig on July 25, 1984 in Zürich, Switzerland, is a singer and songwriter. She began playing guitar at age five and later learned bass and piano. After graduating from Kantonsschule Stadelhofen, she earned a Bachelor's degree from the Jazz Department of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), which funded her first album Four Acres and No Horse in 2011. In 2013, she released her second album Slideshow Seasons. Känzig signed with Sony Music in 2014 and released her third studio album Sound and Fury in 2016, featuring the singles "Drive All Night" and "Get Out". Her song "Lion’s Heart" served as the official anthem for the Swiss Radio and Television's charity campaign Jeder Rappen zählt (Every Cent Counts).
