Biography

Andy Zipf was an American singer-songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana. Zipf released the debut album I Stole the Morning Sun in 2004. In 2005, he funded his first tour through fan donations and subsequently raised funds for the EP The Long Tail in 2007. Zipf shared the stage with artists such as Joshua Radin and Delta Spirit. His recording “Stumble on the Line” appeared on the television program Private Practice. In 2009, Zipf signed with P Is For Panda and released the album Jealous Hands in 2011. He adopted the moniker The Cowards Choir in 2013, releasing the EPs Reunion and Cool Currency. The Cowards Choir released the album Name the Fear in 2016. In 2022, Zipf released the album How to Make a Paper Airplane, which was a finalist in the American Songwriter lyric contest.
