English post-punk band And Also the Trees was launched at the start of its career in 1979 by The Cure. AATD released a handful of esteemed albums in the mid-1980s: Virus Meadow (1986), The Evening of the 24th (1987), The Millpond Years (1988) and Farewell to the Shade (1989) are the high points of a career that remained discreet. Followed by a handful of die-hard fans in the UK and France, And Also the Trees remain true to themselves and never give up, as evidenced by subsequent albums Hunter Not the Hunted (2012) and Born Into the Waves (2016).
