Biography
Anarchicks, a Portuguese punk rock and pop band, was formed in Greater Lisbon in 2011. Their lyrical focus centered around feminism and creative freedom. Anarchicks released their first EP, Look What You Made Me Do, in 2012. The band gained national attention when their music was played on Antena 3's influential alternative music show Indiegente. Their debut album, Really?!, was released in 2013, which featured the song "Forever", and received significant media coverage, including a live TV interview on RTP for International Women's Day. Anarchicks performed at notable events such as the Super Bock Super Rock festival in 2013 and toured internationally. The band has undergone lineup changes, with Marta Lefay replacing Devesa from 2013 to 2017, and Rita Sedas taking over vocal duties thereafter. Their subsequent albums include We Claim the Right to Rebel and Resist (2016) and Loose Ends (2019).
