Biography

Ana G. Egge, born September 20, 1976, in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, is a Canadian/American musician and songwriter. She began building her own guitar at age 16 under luthier Don Musser. Her first recording was a cassette EP released in 1994, which led to a contract with Lazy S.O.B. Recordings and the release of her debut album River Under the Road (1997). Egge won the Austin Music Awards for "Best Singer/Songwriter" and "Best Folk Artist" in 1995. She toured extensively, sharing stages with artists including John Prine, Lucinda Williams, Dave Alvin, and Shawn Colvin. Notable albums include Out Past the Lights (2004), Lazy Days (2007), Road to My Love (2009), Bad Blood (2011), and White Tiger (2018), released through StorySound Records. Her songs have been covered by artists such as Dave Alvin and Laurie Lewis.
