Biography
AlyâUs, a house music group from New Jersey, gained prominence in the early 1990s. Originally formed as a trio with vocalist Eddie L.â¯Lewis (known as âSupaâ), DJ Kyle âSmallââ¯Smith, and vocalist William Brian Jennings, the group was active until 1996 and then revived in the early 2010s. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 single "Followâ¯Me", a deepâhouse track produced and mixed by Kyle Smith and released on Strictly Rhythm; the track became a house classic and later peaked at number 8 on Billboardâs Dance Club Songs chart in 2002 following a remix by Full Intention. The groupâs enduring influence was noted when Hot Chip listed "Followâ¯Me" among its essential summer songs in 2012, and NPR included the track in a 2016 memorial playlist for the Pulse nightclub tragedy. Other notable singles include "Find a Way" (2010), "Early in the Morning" (2014), and "Get Up" (2017). Lewis passed away on Juneâ¯7,â¯2025.
