Biography
Singer and keyboard player Alyson Michalka and singer and guitarist Amanda Michalka formed the pop rock duo Aly & AJ in Los Angeles in 2004. Their debut album 'Into the Rush' (2005) went to number 36 on the Billboard 200. 'Acoustic Hearts of Winter' (2006) reached number 78 and 'Insomniatic' (2007) peaked at number 15. The single 'Rush' (2006) went to number 59 on the Billboard 100, 'Chemicals React' (2006) reached number 50, 'Greatest Time of the Year' (2006) number 96, 'Potential Breakup Song' (2007) number 17 and 'Like Whoa' (2008) number 63. They released an EP titled 'Ten Years' in 2017 and another titled 'Sanctuary' in 2019.
