Biography
Altimet is a Malaysian rapper, composer, and songwriter born as Syed Ahmad bin Syed Abdul Rahman Al-Hadad on 27 November 1978 in Petaling Jaya. He achieved professional recognition in 1999 by joining the hip hop ensemble Teh Tarik Crew. They released the studio recordings Are We Rap Stars Now (1999), How's The Level? (2002), and What's Next? (2004) before becoming inactive in 2007. Altimet established a solo career and released the debut studio album First Among Equals (2007). His recording career includes the studio recordings Kotarayaku (2014) and Amboi (2016), the latter featuring the track âAmboiâ (2016). He collaborated with Awi Rafael on the track âKalau Aku Kayaâ (2013) and with Sasi The Don and Maya Hanum on âMemang Mudahâ (2016). In 2018, he received the Best Performance award at the Anugerah Juara Lagu for âAmboiâ. His final performance as a singer was the concert The Last Altimet Show (2019). His discography includes the studio recordings Air (2018) and O (2018).
