Biography

The "Lolita" of French pop, Alizée (born Alizée Jacotey in Ajaccio on August 21, 1984) was spotted thanks to the TV show Graines de stars, and made a promising career debut under the patronage of Mylène Farmer and her favourite songwriter Laurent Boutonnat, with the genetic hit "Moi...Lolita" and the album Gourmandises (2001). Appreciated as much as criticized, Alizée has carved out her own path in the acidic, adulescent pop vein, as evidenced by the album Psychédélices (2007), featuring a diverse range of songwriters, from her husband Jeremy Chatelain to Daniel Darc and Alain Bashung's favourite songwriter Jean Fauque. Pop for young and old alike, that's the program Alizée charmingly unveils. Having become a real star in Latin America, where she frequently tours, the singer took an electro-pop turn with the concept album Une Enfant du Siècle (2010). Her credibility was further enhanced by her 2013 album 5, produced with Thomas Boulard, from the group Luke. The following year, after her victory in Danse avec les stars, Alizée reappeared as a blonde with the album and title of the same name, featuring Pascal Obispo, Lionel Florence and Zazie.
