Aleste, a Chilean pop rock band formed in 1993, was founded by Alfredo Alonso following his work with the group Diva. The band initially consisted of Alonso, Rodrigo Espinoza, Ricardo Viancos, Juan Pablo Nieto, and Lito Zerené. In their debut year, Aleste signed with Polygram and released their self-titled album Aleste, which included the hit single "Hay un LÃmite," one of the most successful songs in Chilean music of that decade. Other notable tracks from this period include "Tiempo Blanco" and the ballad "Nadie Como Yo." In 1995, Aleste participated in the XXXVI Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, where Espinoza met Mexican singer Yuri, whom he later married. The band's second album, Aleste, del Cielo Está el ParaÃso, was released in 1995. After a hiatus, the original lineup reunited for a concert at the Teatro Teletón in Santiago on July 30, 2010.
