Rahema Shifa Alameda, known mononymously as Alemeda, is an Ethiopian singer-songwriter born in Ethiopia on December 13, 1999 and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Her music blended contemporary aesthetics with nostalgic R&B vibes, exploring themes of love and relationships. She began her music career with the independent release of "Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows" in 2021, which gained traction on social media. In 2022, she released "Post Nut Clarity" and made guest appearances on albums by Ibrahim Maalouf and Ab-Soul. She was signed to Top Dawg Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Records on September 20, 2024, releasing her debut EP Fk It the same day. Her second EP, But What the Hell Do I Know, followed in November 2025.
