Biography
Guilherme Ramos, known professionally as Aka Rasta, is a rapper and founder of the Astro Gang collective from Curitiba, Brazil. He debuted in 2016 with the independent release Astronauta: Mixtape, featuring collaborations with MC Igu and Luiza Sandmann. In 2018, Aka Rasta gained significant attention with the singles "Tic Tac" and "Fases," solidifying his presence in the Brazilian rap scene. "Fases" was later remixed by artists such as DEREK and Froid, further amplifying its reach. After focusing on directing and producing for Astro Gang artists like Burn-O and DaLua, Aka Rasta returned to the spotlight with a mash-up of "Fases" and Roddy Ricch's "The Box," which garnered even more traction than the original track. Over two years, he engaged fans through interactive live sessions, previewing tracks from his forthcoming album, initially titled OITO. This project culminated in the release of ZIMA on June 17, 2022, an 18-track album that showcased his evolution as an artist. On the same day, he performed at the CENA festival, marking a significant milestone in his career. This success was followed by 2024's DUALIDADE, which featured contributions from Ryu, the Runner and Gianna Mello.
