Age of Ruin, an American metalcore band from Fairfax, Virginia, formed in 1998. The group released their debut demo album The Opium Dead in 1999 and followed it with their first full-length album, Black Sands of the Hourglass, in 2000. The band's career saw significant milestones, including the release of the EP Autumn Lanterns in 2002 and the album The Tides of Tragedy in 2004 via Eulogy Records. They gained substantial recognition through tours, notably participating in Van's Warped Tour 2004 and subsequent tours with bands such as Shadows Fall and Darkest Hour. In 2008, the original lineup reunited to release One Thousand Needles on Eulogy Records. The band continued to evolve, bringing in new members like Jonathan Clay and Hendrik Osinga, and released Nothingman in 2025.
