Biography

Adiam Dymott, born on December 17, 1982, in Uppsala, Sweden, is a Swedish singer of Eritrean descent. After working as a receptionist in a Stockholm studio, she sang for various songwriters and met producer Thomas Rusiak, who helped her record her first demo in 2008. Her breakthrough came in early 2009 when the single "Miss You" topped the Swedish iTunes chart and earned a nomination for the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Swedish Act. Adiam Dymott released her self‑titled debut album Adiam Dymott in March 2009, peaking at number 14 on the Swedish Top 20. In 2010 she issued "Catch Me If You Can" with Björn Dixgård of Mando Diao. After a brief hiatus, she returned in 2015 with the EP Dark Lake (EP 1) and in 2016 released her second album Black Wedding and the EP Quiet Desperation (EP 2).
