Biography

Sascha Berger, known professionally as Berger, was born in 1976 in Saarbrücken, Germany. He is a German singer and the son of Schlager singers Jutta Berger and Norbert Maria Berger, who were known as the duo Cindy & Bert. Berger learned to play the guitar and formed the band Das Reimheitsgebot with friends in the mid-1990s. In 1998, he left the group and released his debut solo album In geheimer Mission in 1999, featuring singles like "Heiligenschein" and "Besser als das Letzte". The following year, Berger achieved significant success with "Zeig mir dein Gesicht", the title song for the second season of the reality show Big Brother. This single reached Number 2 on the German Singles chart. Following this success, he re-released his debut album with the addition of "Zeig mir dein Gesicht". In 2001, Berger released another album titled Gift, including the single "Wenn Du mich nicht lieben kannst, dann hass mich wenigstens", which briefly entered the top 100 of the German Singles chart.
