Biography
A Crow is White, or, as they are known in their native Japanese, Karasu wa Masshiro, were a four-piece J-pop band known for their funky pop style. The band was formed in Sapporo in 2010, and self-published their debut EP 'Hato Poppo' in 2010, followed by their debut single 'High-speed MuteppS' and their self-titled debut album 'Karasu wa Masshiro' (2012) before being signed by the record label Space Shower Music later in 2012. Their first release with the record label was the EP 'Spectacle Gokko' in 2012. This was followed by a second album, 'Kaijyu Bakuhatsu Gokko' (2013), and three EPs, 'Onsoku Merry-go-round' (2014), 'HIMITSU' (2015) and 'Hialism' (2015).
In 2016, the band released the single 'Sayonara Flashback', followed by the album 'Back to the Future' in the same year, before disbanding in 2017. An anime band called Shirorakurosuka was made of the band members, with each anime character taking on the persona of a different bird, although the character of Kana Yaginuma, the vocalist and guitarist, was more similar to a panda.
