A Balladeer is a Dutch musical project from Amsterdam founded by Marinus de Goederen. The group gained early recognition by winning the 3FM BuZz Award in 2002 and the public award at De Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2003. Their first EP, Rumor Had It, was released in 2004 and featured the track "They've Shut Down Marks & Spencer." The band's debut album, Panama, arrived in 2006 and included the successful single "Swim with Sam." Following this success, they were honored with a Zilveren Harp in 2007. Their second studio album, Where Are You, Bambi Woods? was released in 2008 and earned an Edison Award nomination. The project's catalog also includes notable singles such as "Robin II" and "Mob Wife," the latter of which featured a collaboration with Sam Bettens of K's Choice.
