Biography
47Soul, a Palestinian Jordanian electronic music group, was formed in Jordan in 2013. The band has included Tareq Abu Kwaik on vocals and darbuka, Ramzy Suleiman on vocals, synthesiser, and keyboard, Walaa Sbeit on vocals and bass drum, and Hamza Arnaout on guitar, electronics, and production. Their debut EP Shamstep was released in 2015, marking the beginning of their career. In 2018, they released their second album Balfron Promise, which received a positive review from The Guardian. The band played at various festivals including Walthamstow Garden Party and Fusion Festival in 2018. In 2019, 47Soul performed on NPR's "Tiny Desk Concerts" series. In January 2020, Arnaout announced his departure from the group to focus on music creation without live performance pressure.
