3rd Wish was founded in the USA in 2001. The US boy band consists of the singers Alex Acosta (* February 17, 1981), Justin Martin (* May 3, 1982) and Ricky Gonzales (* January 7, 1981). The band plays pop and R&B with clear Latin influences and has achieved its greatest successes in German-speaking countries and in several European countries. 3rd Wish is part of the wave of international pop and R&B acts of the early 2000s that combine elements of soul, pop and Latin. In 2003, 3rd Wish began their first commercial activities in Germany. In 2004, the group released the album Reflections of the South, which reached number 64 in the German album charts. The single "Obsesión" feat. Baby Bash becomes the band's biggest success; it climbs to number 5 in the German singles charts in 2004 and also reaches high positions in Austria and Switzerland. Other singles from this album are "Niña" and "I Am", which are listed in several European charts. The second album 3rd Wish followed in 2006, but its chart positions were lower. In 2006, the group's activities largely disbanded.
