Real name Matthew James Colwell, 360 is an Australian rapper, singer and songwriter born on July 12, 1986 in Melbourne, Victoria. He emerged in the mid-2000s as one of the leading figures in Australian hip-hop, combining a personal, introspective style with accessible beats often influenced by pop, rock and electro. He began his musical career taking part in battle rap competitions in Melbourne's underground scene, before releasing his debut album What You See Is What You Get (2008), which received a modest reception but helped him gain recognition for his frank, self-deprecating and energetic style. It was with his second album, Falling & Flying (2011), that 360 enjoyed a major national breakthrough, with three of his tracks reaching the ARIA charts: "Boys Like You", a duet with Gossling, became a huge commercial success in Australia, reaching #3 and being certified multi-platinum; "Child" and "Run Alone" reached #24. Stricken by mental disorders and addictions that disrupted his career, 360 nonetheless continued with the hit "Impossible " (#25) and "Live It Up" (#21), followed by the albums Utopia (2014) and Vintage Modern (2017). After an absence of several years since the Covid-19 pandemic, 360 returns in 2025 with the album Out of the Blue.
