David “YUNGIN” Kim, better known as YUNGIN, is a Grammy Award–winning mix engineer and producer who bridges the worlds of American and Korean music. Born in Seoul and raised in Los Angeles from the age of four, he first dreamed of becoming an NFL player before an injury led him to pursue his true passion—music. Inspired by Nas’s Illmatic, he studied at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, later building his career through years of work in major recording studios. Renowned for his “golden ear” and ability to realize an artist’s vision, YUNGIN has collaborated with global stars including Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Park. In 2023, he released his debut producer album Did You Know? Part 1, a project blending hip-hop and R&B with his Korean heritage, featuring top artists such as Jessi, CAMO, Paul Blanco, and ChaCha Malone. Following the success of his album, he launched the Seoul-based music production festival AIMFEST 2025 and in September 2025 released the single "SLIDIN’" with GRAY and DeVita, marking the beginning of Did You Know? Part 2.
