Biography

Tasuku Hatanaka, born 畠中祐 on August 17, 1994, in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer. He began his career as a voice actor in 2013 when he joined Ken Production. Hatanaka's initial steps into the music industry included releasing his first single “STAND UP” in July 2017. His debut album FIGHTERwas released on March 27, 2019. He has since released two more albums: REAL (August 17, 2022) and the mini-album It’s time to fly! (July 17, 2024). Notable singles include “HISTORY” (August 19, 2020), “Promise for the future” (November 25, 2020), and “Good Luck” (November 29, 2023). Hatanaka has also contributed to various anime soundtracks, including the opening theme “Dying Wish” for Yūkoku no Moriarty and “Twisted Hearts” for the second opening of the same series. He was recognized as one of the Best Seiyū for the Newtype Anime Awards 2015–2016. Hatanaka has lent his voice to numerous prominent anime roles, including Yūma Tsukumo in Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Ushio Aotsuki in Ushio to Tora, and Denki Kaminari in My Hero Academia.
