Biography

Mike Dando is a British power electronics musician from the West Midlands, United Kingdom, who founded the project Con-Dom in 1983. He is famous for being a pioneer of the power electronics genre and for his intense live performances. Before launching the project, Dando contributed to the fanzine Spontaneous Human Combustion / Death Magazine 52 between 1982 and 1983. He achieved professional recognition in 1983 following his debut performance in Wolverhampton. His discography includes the debut studio recording Live Assault 1 / Live Assault 4 (1984), followed by Calling All Aryans (1984), The Eighth Pillar (A Confession of Faith) (1991), and Control Domination (1999). His work includes themes of control, pain, and manipulation within modern society. In 2016, he released the studio recording How Welcome Is Death to I Who Have Nothing More to Do but Die, which documented the passing of his mother. The project became inactive following this release.
