Biography
Aurel Sylvanus Adjivon, better known by his stage name Vano Baby or Azéto Gbèdé, was born in the Beninese capital Cotonou on May 9 (the year is not known). His passion for rap began at the age of 11, when he came into contact with a local elder. The budding artist took his first steps in the business in 2013 when he released the single named "Drague Azonto". A year later, he entered the MTN Découverte Talents competition and won. In 2016, he released "Adigoue Gboun Gboun" , whose subversive lyrics did not prevent the track from becoming a hit in the country. Vano Baby capitalized on his new-found fame in 2017 with the songs "Je s'en fou" and "Tonsimin Chap ", which he performed with Ng Bling. He returned to a more romantic register with "Madame" in 2019. The success of "Chéri Coco " earned him the Benin Top 10 Artist of the Year award in 2021, which he also won in 2022, when he released "Tu Mérites tout", "Djomindo" and " Diyo ". The rapper continued his career in 2023 with a new single, "Coup monté".
