Born in Ankara, Turkey on January 1, 1996, Tuğçe Kandemir is a singer, songwriter, and educator. She first showed interest in music at the age of 8 years old. After finishing high school in Ankara, she attended Mersin University to study Turkish language and literature. She also performed in the school’s choir. After graduating, she was awaiting her teaching assignment and spent her free time recording songs and posting them on social media. Her song "Bu Benim Öyküm" went viral and she was quickly approached by record labels. After signing a contract, she filmed a video for the single, which has been viewed over 100 million times. Further singles include "İçimdeki Sen” (featuring Bilal Sonses), "Gülü Soldurmam" (2019), and "El-Âlem” (2020), all of which were also streamed over 100 million time. While she has been building a very successful career as a singer, Tuğçe Kandemir has maintained a teaching position at Mersin University. In October of 2021, she released the single and video of “Sakin Ola”, which reached nearly nine million views in the first month alone.
