Traks was an Italian musical group formed in 1982, consisting of Aurelio Donninelli (Aax Donnell), Paolo Micioni (Paul Micioni), Pietro Micioni (Peter Micioni), and Mariano Salvati (Marian Savati). The members, who were all DJs since the mid-1970s, decided to form Traks during a road trip when they chose to record a new version of "Long Train Runnin'" by the Doobie Brothers. This decision led to their debut single and album release in 1982. The group's first album, Long Train Runnin', was released in October 1982 and became an important reference for the emerging Italo disco genre. The album gained significant international attention after being showcased at the Midem music market in Cannes, leading to its distribution worldwide by Savoir Faire Records. Traks achieved notable success with "Long Train Runnin'", which reached Number 18 on the German charts. Following their disbandment in 1985, Aax Donnell and Marian Savati continued their careers as producers and musicians, while Paul Micioni and Peter Micioni produced successful albums for various artists, including Gazebo and Amii Stewart.
