Biography

Tone Sekelius, formerly known as Thomas Peter Sekelius, and born on July 16, 1997, in Växjö, Sweden, is an artist and video blogger. Sekelius initially gained attention through online videos before transitioning into music. In February 2017, Sekelius released their debut single "Awakening", which charted in Sweden. That same year, Sekelius was recognized at the QX Gaygala as LGBTQ-Vlogger of the Year and contributed to the official song for Swedish Pride events, "One More in the Crowd". In 2021, Sekelius publicly identified as a trans woman and adopted the name Tone Sekelius. The following year, Sekelius participated in Melodifestivalen 2022, qualifying for the final with "My Way" and securing fifth place. In 2023, Sekelius returned to Melodifestivalen, qualifying for the final with "Rhythm of My Show" from their EP of the same name but placing last in the finale.
