Biography
Tomoaki Ando, born December 19, 1996, is a Japanese singer and entertainer from Fukuoka Prefecture, best known as TOMO, a member of the Japan-Korea collaborative boy group ORβIT. Before entering the entertainment world, Ando trained as a marine engineer and worked aboard large passenger ships, auditioning during port stops. He rose to national attention in 2019 as a finalist on the survival show PRODUCE 101 JAPAN, which led to his selection as the sixth member of ORβIT in February 2020. ORβIT officially debuted with the album 00 in November 2020. That same year, TOMO featured on HICOâs debut single âSTRAWBERRYâ. In 2022, he briefly paused activities due to media issues but returned to group activities later that year. Celebrating his birthday in December 2024, TOMO released the solo track âGood Night,â followed by his official solo debut single "Melting Rain" on June 4, 2025, marking a new chapter in his evolving career.
