Biography

Tom Kerstens is a Dutch classical guitarist who studied in the Netherlands, Spain, and England. He earned degrees from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the University of Utrecht. Tom Kerstens' UK debut came in 1987 at the Greenwich Festival. His discography includes Serenade: Romantic Music for Romantic Guitars and multiple volumes of New Music for Guitar. Since 1995, he has been the Artistic Director and CEO of the International Guitar Foundation, commissioning over 80 new works for the guitar. His album, Utopia (2020), was recorded with his ensemble G Plus at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in Wiltshire, England.
