Toktok, a German techno duo, was formed in 1994 when its members were working as organizers on the free party scene. The group initially consisted of Anton Waldt and Nerk (Benjamin Weiss), with Fabian Feyerabendt, C14 (Carsten Neubauer), and occasionally Stefan Küchenmeister joining later. Toktok's early releases included singles like "Snack", "1449", and "Vermona" in 1994, followed by EPs such as Trampolin EP and Mean Streets EP. Their breakthrough came with the single "Missy Queen's Gonna Die" in 2001, which led to a record deal with EastWest (Warner Music). This success was followed by another hit single, "Day of Mine", featuring Soffy O., and their debut album Toktok vs. Soffy O., released in 2002. The album won the German Dance Award and was accompanied by a European tour that extended to Russia and Japan. In 2004, Toktok collaborated with Nena on the single "Bang Bang", which featured a music video directed by Bringmann & Kopetzki. Throughout their career, Toktok released several notable albums including Run.Stop.Restore (2000), Tokblock 01 (2004), Bullet in the Head (2010), Yes No Yes (2018), and Tweng (2023).
