Biography

The Troyes were an American garage rock band formed in 1966 and based in Battle Creek, Michigan. The group initially performed at local teen clubs such as Teens Inc. and Eddy's before signing with Ray Anthony's label, Space Records. Their debut single "Why" was released in 1966 under the Phalanx label (Phalanx 1008/1009) and later re-released on Space Records (Space 7001). The band followed up with another single, "Love Comes, Love Dies", in 1967. However, personal issues led to their disbandment before the release of their follow-up single "I'm Gone". Their complete recordings were compiled into the album Rainbow Chaser - Complete Recordings (1966-1968), released in 2014.
