Biography
The Super Stocks is a studio band from California, created by Gary Usher in 1964. The group was formed to capitalize on the popularity of surf music and hot rods, distinguishing itself through the use of high-quality session musicians, including members of the Wrecking Crew such as guitarist Glen Campbell. Their debut album School Is a Drag was released in 1964 under Capitol Records. This was followed by two more albums, Surf Route 101 and Thunder Road, both also released in 1964 on the same label.
