The Sunshine Company was a pop rock group from the United States, formed in 1966. The initial lineup consisted of Mary Lorraine Nance-Ulrich and Maury Manseau, who later added Larry Sims on bass and Merel Bregante on drums. Their sound evolved from folk to a style reminiscent of contemporary groups like The Mamas & the Papas. Signed to Imperial Records in 1967, The Sunshine Company released their debut single "Happy", followed by "Back On The Street Again", which peaked at number 36 on the US charts. This success was followed by several notable singles, including "Look, Here Comes The Sun" (1968) and "On A Beautiful Day" (1968). Their debut album Happy Is the Sunshine Company reached number 126 on the U.S. charts. Despite initial success, the group's popularity waned with changing cultural sentiments. Subsequent albums The Sunshine Company and Sunshine & Shadows, released in 1968, saw diminishing returns. The band disbanded in early 1969.
