Steve Gibbons is an English singer-songwriter and bandleader born in England in 1941. Gibbons joined the group The Dominettes in 1958, which later became The Ugly's. Their single âWake Up My Mindâ (1965) reached number 14 on the national Australian chart. Gibbons performed with the bands Balls and The Idle Race before forming the Steve Gibbons Band in 1971. Their recordings include Any Road Up (1976) and Rollin' On (1977), the latter featuring the single âTulaneâ, which reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart,. The group also released Caught in the Act (1977), Down in the Bunker (1978), and Street Parade (1980).
