Biography
The Homesick, a Dutch post-punk band from Dokkum in the north of the Netherlands, was formed in 2012. The group consists of drummer Erik Woudwijk, bassist Jaap van der Velde, and guitarist Elias Elgersma. Their initial release was the EP Twst Yr Wrsts in October 2014, followed by their debut single "Stereo Lisa / Boys" in September 2015. The band's first full-length album, Youth Hunt, was released on March 10, 2017, under the label Subroutine. In April 2018, they released the single "Gucci Gucci." Their second studio album, The Big Exercise, came out in February 2020 through Sub Pop. The Homesick's third album, self-titled The Homesick, was released on September 8, 2023.
